Navy Bean Soup

INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 cups navy beans
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 clove garlic 
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 med onion, chopped
  • 2 tsp chicken bullion
  • 1 can tomatoes
  • 6 cups water
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce 
  • Cubed ham (optional)

DIRECTIONS:

  • Cover beans with water in large pot. Bring to a boil, boil for 2 mins. Remove from heat. Cover.
  • Let stand for 1 hour
  • Add all remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat
  • Simmer for 2-3 hours, or until beans are tender. 

Cubed ham can be added for a hearty soup.
