INGREDIENTS:
- 2 cups navy beans
- 1 cup diced celery
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 clove garlic
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 med onion, chopped
- 2 tsp chicken bullion
- 1 can tomatoes
- 6 cups water
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Cubed ham (optional)
DIRECTIONS:
- Cover beans with water in large pot. Bring to a boil, boil for 2 mins. Remove from heat. Cover.
- Let stand for 1 hour
- Add all remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat
- Simmer for 2-3 hours, or until beans are tender.
Cubed ham can be added for a hearty soup.
